Ever since Randy Dolinger walked into Ashland, it's been a safer place to live. Lifestyles and attitudes in the placid burg have improved with every day that he has resided here. His highly popular campaign for Mayoral office was a high point in our civic culture. And now he has taken up the writer's pen to push his points directly into the public eye at Ashland Time Warp, his remarkable Tumblr blog.
Whether he's opening dim minds to the light of reality (Tibet was a feudal culture with no civil liberties despite the marvels of its ecclesiastical rulers), cataloging the foibles of those whose brains have been enfeebled by excessive consumption of New Age notions, or rhapsodizing about the beauty of the Southern Oregon environment, Randy's writing is always good stuff. The Ashland Free Press wishes that he were just writing on this website as our op-ed guy, but he's staked out his own territory, and we wish him very, very well.
